Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable Part-Time IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain the technology infrastructure for our growing office in Waimanalo.

This position is responsible for keeping our office computers, network, internet, printers, and security systems operating safely and efficiently. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and helping a small business stay productive., * Manage and maintain approximately seven office computer workstations.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows computers and Microsoft 365.
  • Set up and maintain secure wired and wireless networks.
  • Configure routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and office networking equipment.
  • Install and manage firewalls, antivirus, anti-malware, and email spam protection.
  • Monitor network security and recommend improvements.
  • Configure and maintain printers, scanners, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and internet connectivity issues.
  • Perform routine software updates, security patches, and system maintenance.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Recommend technology upgrades and improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for network equipment, software licenses, and system configurations.
  • Provide technical support to office staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience managing Windows-based office environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with networking, routers, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, file sharing, backups, and data protection.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
