Job description

The Senior Solution Architect, centralised around business transformation & automation, works across business consulting, architecture, and solution design to translate business intent into technically credible approaches on the Cyferd Platform. The role helps organisations diagnose operational challenges, define future-state operating models, and shape practical, outcome-driven solutions.

This is a senior, customer-facing position focused on solving complex operational problems by orchestrating people, processes, systems, data, automation, and AI. You will work with business and technology leaders to understand strategic goals, assess current operations, challenge assumptions, and identify transformation opportunities.

A core responsibility is connecting business intent to technical delivery-turning outcomes, capabilities, processes, and requirements into well-considered solution designs. You’ll need enough technical depth to understand platform capabilities, determine where configuration, workflow, data, integration, automation, AI, or development is required, and define a credible scope of work for engineering teams.

This role blends consulting, business architecture, solution design, customer engagement, and hands-on platform understanding rather than being purely conceptual or purely technical., * Discovery Leadership: Lead business and technical discovery engagements to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, processes, systems, data, and constraints.

  • Problem Framing: Challenge assumptions, distinguish true business needs from stated requirements, and structure ambiguous problems clearly.
  • Transformation Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities for orchestration, automation, simplification, process redesign, and AI-enabled improvement.
  • Future-State Definition: Help stakeholders define pragmatic future-state operating models and prioritised transformation initiatives.
  • Outcome Alignment: Connect proposed changes to measurable outcomes such as improved service, productivity, agility, control, resilience, and cost efficiency.

Business Architecture & Solution Shaping

  • Business Architecture Translation: Convert strategic objectives into required capabilities, processes, information flows, roles, and enabling technology.
  • End-to-End Solution Mapping: Define how people, processes, systems, data, rules, automation, and AI should work together across business journeys.
  • Connect business architecture to executable solution design: Move from business outcomes and capabilities through to platform capabilities and solution components.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between current-state operations and target-state capabilities.
  • Pragmatic Solution Shaping: Balance business value, technical feasibility, complexity, risk, and speed to outcome when shaping transformation approaches., * Solution Design: Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs using platform components, patterns, workflows, rules, data models, integrations, automation, and AI.
  • Requirements: Determine how requirements should be addressed through applications, workflows, business rules, data models, integrations, automation, AI capabilities, security models, configuration, or additional development.
  • Technical Feasibility Assessment: Identify assumptions, constraints, dependencies, risks, and complexity drivers.
  • Architectural Trade-offs: Make informed design decisions and clearly explain implications to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-On Exploration: Work directly with the platform to validate solution approaches and understand implementation implications.

Solution Definition, Scoping & Delivery

  • Solution Definition: Turn complex and ambiguous requirements into clear, structured solution definitions.
  • Scope Decomposition: Break solutions into logical capabilities, components, workstreams, and deliverables.
  • Work Scoping: Produce scopes of work detailing business outcomes, solution approach, Cyferd platform capabilities, workflows, data, integration, automation, AI, security, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and areas needing further discovery.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Delivery teams to validate solution approaches and ensure scopes are technically credible.
  • Continuity into Delivery: Maintain alignment from discovery through delivery, resolving ambiguity and preserving design intent.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Opportunity Support: Assist with discovery, qualification, solution shaping, and technical sales activities.
  • Workshop Leadership: Lead business and technical workshops to clarify challenges and explore solution options.
  • Demonstrations & Prototypes: Deliver compelling demonstrations and shape prototypes, proofs of concept, and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Stakeholder Credibility: Build trust with operational teams, transformation leaders, senior executives, enterprise architects, and engineering teams.
  • Commercial Alignment: Partner with Sales to ensure proposed solutions are commercially compelling and technically credible.

Requirements

  • Business Consulting & Transformation: Experience diagnosing complex business problems, structuring ambiguity, advising stakeholders, and shaping pragmatic transformation initiatives.
  • Business Architecture: Understanding of business capabilities, value streams, operating models, processes, and information flows.
  • Solution Architecture: Ability to translate business and functional requirements into coherent end-to-end solution designs.
  • Platform-Based Solution Design: Experience mapping requirements to platform capabilities, patterns, and constraints.
  • Business Process & Automation Design: Knowledge of how work flows across people, systems, data, decisions, and automation.
  • Low-Code / Workflow / SaaS Platforms: Experience applying configurable platform capabilities to complex business needs.
  • Integration Architecture: Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, enterprise systems, data exchange, and identity.
  • Data & Information Modelling: Knowledge of business entities, relationships, information flows, and data requirements.
  • Technical Scoping: Ability to define solution scope with sufficient depth for engineering teams to estimate and deliver.
  • Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting: Experience supporting customer engagements through discovery, shaping, demos, and proof-of-concept work.
