Job description

  • Design enterprise physical security systems for mission-critical facilities.
  • Produce technical specifications and employer’s requirements.
  • Develop access control, CCTV, intercom and perimeter security designs.
  • Undertake security risk assessments and design reviews.
  • Attend client meetings, design workshops and site visits.
  • Review contractor submittals and technical documentation.
  • Support commissioning, testing and handover activities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high technical standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience within physical security consulting or systems design.
  • Experience designing enterprise access control and CCTV systems.
  • Experience within the Data Centre sector delivering security projects.
  • Ability to produce technical specifications and design documentation.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of integrated physical security systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe (at least monthly).

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Hyperscale data centre provider requirements.
  • Knowledge of Genetec, LenelS2, Gallagher, AMAG or similar enterprise security platforms.
  • Experience of RIBA Stages 2-6 - working within a design and consultancy environment
  • Understanding of:
  • o NPSA / CPNI Guidance
  • o ISO Standards
  • o Security by Design Principles
  • o Industry Best Practice for Critical Infrastructure.
  • ASIS certification (CPP/PSP/PCI) or equivalent., * Do you have security design experience within the Data Centre sector?
