Job description

Celeris Systems is seeking a Test Engineer IV to support a U.S. Space Force modernization program at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The selected candidate will join an established engineering team supporting the planning, development, execution, and documentation of system-level testing for mission-critical range systems. This position is ideal for an experienced test engineer with a background in systems integration, verification and validation (V&V), and test execution within aerospace, defense, or launch operations. Experience supporting the Western Range or similar Department of Defense test environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Support system integration, verification, validation, and acceptance testing activities.
  • Coordinate with Government and contractor engineering teams to ensure successful test execution.
  • Evaluate system performance, document test results, and assist in troubleshooting hardware and software anomalies.
  • Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), test planning meetings, and post-test reviews.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, verification activities, and test results.
  • Analyze test data and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
  • Support configuration management and documentation updates associated with testing activities.
  • Assist in identifying system deficiencies, documenting issues, and tracking corrective actions through resolution.
  • Ensure testing activities comply with program requirements, engineering standards, and established quality processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience supporting test engineering, systems integration, verification and validation, or related engineering activities.
  • Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and technical test documentation.
  • Experience supporting system integration and formal test events.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., * Experience supporting the Western Range, Vandenberg Space Force Base, or other Department of Defense test ranges.
  • Experience with telemetry systems, RF systems, communications systems, or networked systems.
  • Experience supporting verification and validation (V&V) activities.
  • Experience using requirements management or configuration management tools such as DOORS, Windchill, Cameo, or similar.
  • Experience supporting Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and formal engineering reviews.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and the system development lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting launch operations, space systems, or mission-critical defense programs.
