  • Lead vulnerability management activities across DMOC infrastructure, ensuring Windows and Linux systems remain compliant with Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements.
  • Perform vulnerability analysis, remediation, and validation activities across NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments to maintain operational accreditation and mission readiness.
  • Implement and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across enterprise Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
  • Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and domain services supporting classified enterprise networks.
  • Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers including system configuration, patching, hardening, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Apply operating system, application, firmware, and security patches in accordance with organizational change management and cybersecurity policies.
  • Perform system hardening, security configuration validation, and compliance assessments using approved DoD security standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams to identify security gaps, develop remediation strategies, and improve enterprise security posture.
  • Utilize vulnerability scanning results to prioritize remediation efforts while minimizing operational impact to mission systems.
  • Develop technical documentation including standard operating procedures, remediation guides, system configurations, and cybersecurity compliance documentation.
  • Support VMware virtualized infrastructure including ESXi hosts and vCenter administration as required.
  • Develop automation scripts utilizing PowerShell, Bash, and Python to streamline system administration, compliance monitoring, and repetitive operational tasks.
  • Provide Tier II Help Desk support for infrastructure-related incidents, user requests, and operational issues when not actively engaged in vulnerability management activities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues spanning Windows, Linux, virtualization, storage, networking, and security technologies.
  • Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations activities to ensure mission-critical infrastructure availability.
  • Participate in technical reviews, cybersecurity audits, inspections, and engineering initiatives supporting continuous improvement across the DMOC enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent military or industry experience may be considered.
  • 4+ years of systems administration experience supporting enterprise Windows and Linux environments.
  • Extensive experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and domain services.
  • Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems within enterprise or classified environments.
  • Experience performing operating system patching, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, enterprise infrastructure, and hybrid computing environments.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance initiatives within Department of Defense or highly regulated enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain clearance requirements.

  • Experience administering VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtualized enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Experience using enterprise vulnerability management platforms and patch management solutions.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages used for systems administration and automation.
  • Experience supporting enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions.
