Job description

GTSC seeks a Cloud Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer , Level III, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position. Mission : As a Cloud Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer , you will analyze userx27s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

Requirements

Requirements: * U.S. Citizenship * Active TS/SCI with polygraph * Seven (7) years of demonstrated combined years of experience (YOE) in cloud and artificial intelligence systems with a bachelorx27s degree; if Masterx27s degree then five (5) YOE; if Ph.D., 3 YOE, else 12 years of relevant DoD program management or relevant experience if a high school/GED graduate.

Certifications: * No certifications required.

Required Skills: * Cloud Architecture/ Cloud Engineer/ Platform Engineering (especially in AWS).

  • AI/ML system design and implementation.
  • High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring).
  • Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/ML Ops.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholder groups, ability to proactively engage with these groups to understand requirements and inform system architecture decisions.
  • System security and networking (particularly the implementation of system security on classified systems).
  • Data engineering and data lifecycle management.

Desired Skills: * Experience with Amazon SafeMaker is a plus.

You are responsible for: * Analyzes userx27s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. * Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. * Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. * Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. * Develops technical documentation. * Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. * Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. * Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. * Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. * Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Education and Required Qualification * A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience. OR

  • A Bachelorx27s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience. OR

  • A Masterx27s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience. OR

  • A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
