Job description

  • They have an established data warehouse platform that is off premise, built in SSIS, SSRS and T-SQL but are migrating to Fabric and Azure. Full training in Fabric and Azure is offered.
  • The role is split 70% developing/building and 30% supporting/maintaining what you have built so you can have full ownership.
  • Documentation and knowledge sharing is a huge part of the role
  • This is a small team of 5 at present; the Team Lead, 2 senior engineers and 2 mid-level engineers so this will be the 6^th hire. They have another data team of 30 in the wider business.
  • This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days per week in the Swansea office.

Requirements

  • You will be an experienced data engineer who is proficient in SSIS, SSRS and SQL.
  • Experience of Fabric and Azure would be beneficial but full training is provided if you have no prior experience of this tech stack.
  • You write clear documentation and you have successfully optimised data warehouse platforms for better performance in your current or past role(s).
  • You’re looking for a role where you can bring in ideas to drive the technical direction of a team.
