Job description
Define, manage, and maintain system requirements.
- Develop and refine the architecture and conceptual design of satellite ground segment systems.
- Define requirements for ground segment elements such as:
- Ground stations
- Mission Operations Centers
- Satellite Control Centers
- Networks and IT infrastructure
- Data center environments
- Analyze technical interfaces, data flows, telemetry and telecommand (TM/TC) communications, and system interactions.
- Support system architecture decisions through technical trade-off analyses.
- Develop verification and validation strategies and participate in system testing activities.
- Define operational concepts and operational requirements for ground segment solutions.
- Support technical procurement activities by preparing technical specifications, evaluating supplier solutions, and monitoring development through acceptance.
- Assist with system integration and transition into operational service.
- Provide technical support during operational phases, including troubleshooting, anomaly investigation, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical planning, risk management, and change management activities.
Requirements
You will work across the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition and system design through procurement, integration, verification, acceptance, and operational support. This position requires a multidisciplinary engineering mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners., RequirementsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach, strong ownership, and attention to detail.Masterās degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Strong understanding of satellite ground segment engineering and systems engineering principles.At least 5 years of experience with technical interface definition, data flow analysis, telemetry and telecommand systems, and communications engineeringKnowledge of RF communications, antenna systems, and link budget analysis.Experience with software-intensive systems, networking technologies, and IT infrastructure.Familiarity with ground station engineering and satellite operations.Experience across the system lifecycle, including design, development, integration, verification, validation, and operational support.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams., * Self-motivated with a proactive approach, strong ownership, and attention to detail.
