Job description
This role is responsible for the design, configuration and installation of complex Network technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of our clients business requirements and IT needs, leading to the creation of scalable, secure, and efficient architectural strategies that incorporate various network solutions & technologies. The architect is responsible for guiding customers through technological transitions, such as network implementations & upgrades, and advising on network optimisation.
Core Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Sales & Pre-Sales teams to fully understand customer needs.
· Conduct thorough analysis of customers network architecture, applications and business process to ensure solutions align to customers’ requirements, and consider future growth.
· Produce designs that utilise the best technology options within customer budget.
· Ensure designs encompass the wider technical estate and integrate harmoniously.
· Ensure are scalable and secure with high availability and flexible capacity.
· Ensure can be monitored, maintained & patched in line with pre-existing ITPS platforms to expedite a seamless onboarding into Support.
· Produce high quality, detailed pre-install and post-install documentation.
· Lead solution presentations and engage in technical discussions with customers addressing concerns and providing clarification where necessary.
· Play an active role in the professional development of engineers, acting as an escalation point for support issues and champion the sharing of knowledge to foster a collaborative culture.
· Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, 20000-1 & 27001.
· Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
· Any other duties reasonably required by your line manager
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role within an MSP.
· Significant experience of network design and implementation, especially Cisco & Meraki.
· In-depth expertise in designing and delivering complex network solutions.
· Exceptional problem solving skills with the ability to rapidly understand technical issues and propose viable technical solutions.
· Able to breakdown and communicate highly technical complex problems to levels varying from junior technical resource to stakeholders with no technical background.
· Comfortable leading presentations to C-Suite executives.
· Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDE, CCIE and CMSS are highly advantageous., * A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
