Job description

We are seeking a Telecom Network Senior Engineer to join our team. You will serve as the engineering authority for designing, implementing, and sustaining the enterprise Telecom/Collaboration architecture. You will develop technical solutions, resolve complex issues, and provide Tier 3 engineering leadership while coordinating with stakeholders and guiding subordinate technical roles. This position will require you to be on site in Columbus, OH., * Enterprise Architecture Design & Engineering Authority: Leads the design, configuration, and sustainment of the Telecom/Collaboration architecture under general supervision.

  • Technical Requirements, Specifications, and Solution Development: Creates engineering requirements, specifications, and solution designs to address deficiencies, enable new capabilities, and meet evolving mission demands.
  • Engineering-Level Deployment & Integration: Performs installation, configuration, and integration of systems and devices, including submitting ECRs and coordinating infrastructure needs such as IP space, ports, VMs, rack allocation, power, and connectivity.
  • Tier 3 Escalation & Complex Issue Resolution: Analyzes and resolves complex technical issues, serving as the Tier 3 engineering escalation point and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and security requirements.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Enterprise Alignment: Collaborates with vendor PMs, COTRs, and government technical representatives to ensure engineering solutions meet stakeholder expectations and integrate with enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning & Technical Oversight: Supports short- and long-term technical strategy, contributes to budget and lifecycle planning, and provides engineering oversight across subordinate roles, maintaining the ability to perform at or above junior engineer and VTC lead levels when required.

Requirements

  • Must possess a relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or CCNP Collaboration as well as CompTIA CASP+, or an equivalent advanced industry credential supporting senior-level telecommunications and network engineering.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the information systems or software engineering field
  • Must have experience with complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, management, and analysis, including voice, video, and data transport systems.
  • Must have experience evaluating and estimating carrier-provided voice and data WAN services, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, and/or managing the analysis and design of wireless voice or data networks using private radio or commercial services, including familiarity with networking protocols and standard IoT protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering with at least eight (8) years of experience in that field AND five (5) years directly related to the duties described

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must possess a DoD Secret clearance, * Bachelor’s (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Networking certification (Required)
