Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems. This role is responsible for network engineering, system administration, device configuration, infrastructure upgrades, security implementation, troubleshooting, and operational support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Cisco networking technologies, cloud environments, and enterprise network security., * Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.

  • Install, configure, and support network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Perform network maintenance, upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and security configurations.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, and capacity planning.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide Level 3 technical support.
  • Manage network configuration changes following established change management procedures.
  • Support Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus Data Center technologies, and cloud-based networking environments.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, technical procedures, and network standards.
  • Implement network security controls and assist with vulnerability management, patch management, and incident response.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement enterprise security policies and best practices.
  • Monitor system health using network monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal IT teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Provide technical guidance during infrastructure projects, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Participate in on-call support, scheduled maintenance, and after-hours implementations as required., * Combination of office and field work supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • May require travel to company facilities, project sites, or training events.
  • Participation in rotating on-call schedules, after-hours maintenance, weekends, and emergency support as needed.
  • Work may involve prolonged sitting, computer use, and occasional lifting of networking equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary work involving computer usage.
  • Occasionally lift and move networking equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to install and support network hardware in data centers and field locations as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent professional experience in network engineering may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
