Software Lead Architect - Systems h/f

As a Lead Architect with a deep interest in new technologies such as AI, Cloud coupled with an interest in System Simulation, you will work with teams to design suitable software architectures that provide technical and business agility for the next generation of 1D unified application, creating a comprehensive, scalable, secure, cost-effective software eco-system serving global digital threads.

Moving forward to an agentic world we aim to amplify usage of existing code base, multi-data sources and experiences we gained over years and decades capitalized in existing desktop applications as well as documentation and requirements. Additionally, in a broader 3D/1D portfolio context connected with SIM AI Factory initiative, unification and integration are key elements - leveraging common data model and shared framework components will have to be reinforced.

Your focus will be to turn alive the transformation of our code base as well as continuing to influence mindsets to deliver faster and iteratively added values to customers, helping them to benefit from AI-powered products to speed up innovation as well as expanding business. Those activities will imply staying tuned continuously on software engineering trends and reflect this on a living technological roadmap connecting new directions, existing applications and paths to follow to maximize the adoption of deep changes.

In this role, collaboration is central: you work closely with business partners to understand application requirements and translate them into scalable architecture solutions. As you oversee planning, executions and delivery of projects and tasks, you also coordinate with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.

By providing technical mentorship to team members, fostering an experimental development culture with continuous improvement, your daily missions will be to:

• Assist in iteratively breaking up monolithic desktop architecture into client and server components or configuration of agents with skills that enables a scalable, resilient and secure deployment of System Simulation agents and tools.
• Discover and apply technological, architectural, process and coding innovations and through your influence see them adopted in the organization such that the deployment of tested AI-driven features as well as Cloud solutions for our customers are accelerated across our product suite, either desktop or cloud.

We would love to hear from you as a passionate engineer who graduated in computer science/IT, with extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable architecture with a fluent ability to leverage the power of AI.

To succeed in this position, you will need to be able to learn fast, to lead collaboratively various internal stakeholders and win adhesion of them to the strategy. Your communication skills will enable you to contribute to a team discussion in an international context, listen to other perspectives, bringing help to assist other team members. Critical-thinking abilities will go far toward contributing to your success.

You join us with knowledge of, or you will quickly learn, AI-assisted software development, cloud platforms and their services, as well as strong expertise in agentic architecture. You are experienced with legacy modernization, migration to Cloud, cross platform integration.

Compensation & Benefits

The primary locations for this opportunity are France, Netherlands, Romania and Spain. The applicable salary ranges for these locations are:

€63,900 - €108,500 (France)

€81,400 - €134,400 (Netherlands)

€65,100 - €104,200 (Spain)

RON234,300- RON445,100(Romania)

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
