Job description
Join a well-established channel marketing company managing billions in annual client programs as their first standalone security hire. This individual contributor role owns the relationship with an outside managed security provider, drives SOC 2 program management, and runs disaster recovery planning - all without a mandate to personally configure firewalls or manage a team. Ideal for a security professional who wants ownership over a program and a seat at the executive table, not another ticket queue to work through alone. What you will do: Own the vendor relationship with an outsourced security provider Manage SOC 2 (or similar) audit program: policies, control testing, evidence coordination Run disaster recovery and business continuity tabletop exercises Translate security risk into plain language for company leadership
Requirements
A recognized security certification (CISSP preferred) Experience managing a security vendor or MSSP relationship Audit program ownership experience (SOC 2, SOC 1, or ISO) Strong executive communication skills Comfort operating solo in a fast-paced environment
