Job description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect to design, implement, and modernize enterprise platform capabilities across cloud, Kubernetes, middleware, DevOps, observability, and security. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, platform engineering, and enterprise architecture to build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms., * Design enterprise platform architecture for cloud-native and hybrid environments.

  • Define platform standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
  • Build reusable platform services to enable application teams.
  • Design and implement AWS-based cloud solutions.
  • Architect and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps tools (Argo CD/Flux).
  • Architect enterprise messaging and middleware solutions using Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, and WebSphere.
  • Design API Gateway architecture and microservices integration standards.
  • Implement enterprise observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Define Zero Trust security architecture, IAM, RBAC, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, and secrets management.
  • Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Establish platform governance, cloud deployment standards, architecture review processes, and mentor engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 12-18+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, middleware, or platform engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience designing enterprise cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience with enterprise messaging systems and API management.
  • Strong knowledge of observability tools and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Proven experience leading cloud transformation and platform modernization initiatives., * Experience designing multi-region, highly available AWS architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud governance, FinOps, and enterprise security best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving enterprise platform adoption.

Benefits & conditions

$70 - $75 an hour - Contract
