Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Data Center Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and optimizing our cutting-edge technology infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center hardware, servers, and network systems. Your expertise will support the stability and security of our distributed systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a broad range of IT infrastructure components, including VMware, AWS, Azure, and automation tools, empowering you to develop your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment., * Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware such as servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and power systems.

  • Perform routine system monitoring and troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware or software issues promptly.
  • Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V to optimize resource utilization and system performance.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell Scripting to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and support distributed systems across multiple environments including Linux, Windows, Oracle databases, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system design improvements and participate in the deployment of new infrastructure components.
  • Conduct regular system backups, disaster recovery tests, and security audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize APIs to integrate various IT tools and automate workflows within the data center environment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to operating systems (Linux/Windows), virtualization technologies, VPNs, and network configurations.
  • Follow Agile methodologies and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices to support ongoing system development projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with IT infrastructure in data centers or enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), or Shell Scripting.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems architecture and system design principles.
  • Proficiency in managing operating systems like Windows Server, Linux/Unix distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, APIs, firewalls, and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently across hardware/software layers.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle or similar) is a plus for managing data-driven applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities.
  • Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
