Job description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of artificial intelligence and software development projects that support the company’s strategic objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, executive leadership, and external software development partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to business requirements., * Manage the full lifecycle of AI and software development projects from concept through implementation.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external software development firms, consultants, and technology vendors.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for development teams.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status updates, sprint reviews, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify, communicate, and resolve risks or roadblocks.
  • Ensure software solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, security expectations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation planning, and production deployments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to prioritize enhancements, integrations, and AI initiatives.
  • Manage project documentation, including business requirements, process flows, testing plans, and change requests.
  • Track project budgets, vendor invoices, and contract deliverables.
  • Establish and monitor key project performance metrics and provide regular executive reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and software delivery practices.
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, automation trends, and best practices that could benefit the organization.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong project management experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, AI technologies, and vendor management. While this role is not expected to develop software, it must effectively manage technical vendors and translate business needs into actionable project plans., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of IT project management experience.
  • Experience managing third-party software development vendors.
  • Experience overseeing custom software implementation projects.
  • Working knowledge of AI, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), APIs, and cloud-based software platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile certification.
  • Experience implementing AI solutions within a business environment.
  • Experience managing software integrations and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance best practices.
