Requirements

Required:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on frontend engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Angular (2+) is required, including building and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications
  • Proven experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade web applications in complex environments (required)
  • Expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive, accessible web design
  • Experience with state management and reactive programming (RxJS, NgRx, or similar)
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Git-based source control (GitHub or similar)
  • 4+ years’ experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Proven ability to lead frontend development efforts, including owning stories, driving implementation, and guiding junior developers
  • Strong understanding of scalable, maintainable frontend architecture for enterprise systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deployment processes
  • Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams (backend, DevOps, product)
  • Local to Los Angeles area (or willing to relocate)

Desired:

  • Experience with React or other modern frameworks (secondary to Angular)
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as D3.js
  • Experience developing secure applications for government or regulated industries
  • Knowledge of secure development best practices and compliance requirements
  • Experience optimizing performance for high-traffic, data-intensive applications
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools
  • Swift / iOS development experience is a plus
  • Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-driven features into frontend applications
  • Strong documentation skills and adherence to coding standards and UI best practices

Basic Compensation: $126,000 - $138,000 in California

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters.
