Senior Java Backend Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team supporting the Product Master Environment (PME), the firm-wide provider of product and pricing reference data used by 400+ applications across Global Markets and Global Wealth & Investment Management. This is a hands-on development role across the full SDLC, focused on building and enhancing business-critical reference data applications., * Analyze business and technical requirements and design solutions for critical components.

• Design, develop, deliver, and provide post-production support for applications.
• Collaborate with global technical and business stakeholders.
• Own and enhance the existing application stack and implement changes across critical reference data applications.

• Core Java - 10+ years.
• Oracle SQL/PLSQL - 5+ years, with experience writing optimized queries.
• Python - 5+ years.
• Hibernate - 5+ years.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, LLM-based coding) - 1-2 years.
• Financial domain knowledge.
• Strong understanding of unit testing concepts.
• Agile development experience.

Preferred Skills:

• React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• REST APIs.
• Snowflake (ELT, performance tuning, security).
• Databricks/Spark (Delta Lake, structured streaming).
• Data integration and modeling with MongoDB.
• Orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, Cloud Composer), CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Cost governance / FinOps for data platforms.
• Software build and release management and familiarity with development patterns.
• Experience working across multiple technologies and functional areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a record of building scalable, robust applications.

Duration: Contract - 12 months

Pay Range: $68.25/hr

Pay rate exception of: $80.97/hr (W2) - without approval - Need to mention at the TOP of the resume.
