Job description

Application & Operational Support

  • Support and maintain internal business applications to ensure availability and performance.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex application, database, and integration issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions.
  • Support testing, deployment, and release activities for application updates.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training and guidance to internal users.

Data, Integration & Development Support

  • Write, review, and optimize complex SQL Server queries.
  • Support SmartConnect integrations between Great Plains and internal systems.
  • Troubleshoot data movement, integrations, and API-based workflows.
  • Support database performance tuning, data integrity, and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with developers and IT partners on application enhancements and integrations.

ERP & Microsoft Platform Support

  • Support Microsoft Great Plains (GP) environments.
  • Apply prior experience supporting Dynamics 365 (Business Central or Finance & Operations, and CRM) to inform future-state planning and platform decisions.
  • Assist with ERP and CRM evaluation, testing, and integration planning as Liberty evolves its technology stack.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and how they integrate with ERP platforms.
  • Support Power BI dashboarding and report development, partnering with business teams to deliver actionable insights., * Influence future ERP and CRM direction while supporting current platforms
  • Broad exposure across finance, operations, sales, and supply chain systems
  • Stable, family-owned organization with a long-term modernization roadmap
  • Collaborative, business-aligned IT and Digital team

Requirements

Liberty Furniture Industries is seeking an ERP & Applications Engineer to join our internal IT team. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing internal business applications used across the organization. The ideal candidate is a great team player who can balance day-to-day operational support with longer-term system improvements in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

This position supports Liberty’s current Microsoft-based platforms-Microsoft SQL Server, SmartConnect, and Great Plains-while also leveraging prior experience supporting Dynamics 365 environments to help inform future-state planning. The role blends application support, database expertise, and integration work and is well-suited for someone who enjoys being hands-on and close to the business., * Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server

  • Experience with SmartConnect or similar Microsoft ERP integration tools
  • Strong SQL query development and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Great Plains (GP)
  • Experience supporting or implementing Dynamics 365 in prior roles
  • Experience with web services and APIs

Preferred Experience

  • Power BI
  • SSIS or other ETL tools
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Windows Server environments
  • Azure SQL or other cloud-based SQL platforms
