Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on enterprise infrastructure role supporting critical IT systems and services. You will work across server, storage, and backup technologies, including Pure Storage, NetApp, and Rubrik, helping to maintain the stability, performance, and reliability of core infrastructure platforms.
The role offers exposure to complex enterprise environments where you will troubleshoot technical issues, support operational improvements, and contribute to the ongoing management of modern infrastructure technologies. Working within a collaborative IT team, you will have the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise while playing a key role in supporting day-to-day operations.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based in Canberra or Sydney (preferred), Melbourne or Brisbane.
The successful candidate must hold an NV1 security clearance or higher.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support enterprise server, storage, and backup infrastructure environments
- Manage and maintain storage platforms including Pure Storage and NetApp
- Administer backup and recovery solutions, including Rubrik
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and operational health across infrastructure platforms
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents and infrastructure issues
- Support virtualised environments and associated infrastructure services
- Maintain system security, backup integrity, and operational compliance standards
- Contribute to incident, problem, and change management activities
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to support operational outcomes
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience administering enterprise Windows and/or Linux environments
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Pure Storage or NetApp
- Experience with backup and recovery technologies, ideally Rubrik
- Experience supporting virtualised infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage operational priorities
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure and operational support processes
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
