Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Consultant to join our growing cybersecurity team in London. This is an opportunity for a security professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, advising stakeholders, and helping organisations strengthen their security posture.
You will work with cross functional teams to assess security risks, develop effective security strategies, and support the delivery of secure technology solutions. The role is suited to someone with strong technical expertise, excellent consulting skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security., * Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management.
- Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and technical reviews across business systems and infrastructure.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend practical remediation plans.
- Support the design and implementation of secure cloud, network, and application architectures.
- Lead security audits, compliance reviews, and security assurance activities.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and best practice documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve security controls across cloud and on premises environments.
- Support incident response activities, root cause investigations, and post incident recommendations.
- Advise project teams throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure security requirements are incorporated from the outset.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats, industry trends, and regulatory developments to enhance organisational resilience.
- Present security findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT Security Consultant, Cyber Security Consultant, Information Security Consultant, or similar senior level role.
- Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, governance, and risk management principles.
- Experience with cloud security technologies across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management, endpoint security, and vulnerability management.
- Experience conducting security risk assessments and technical security reviews.
- Knowledge of security standards and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, and threat management practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are desirable.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
