Job description

  • Take ownership of BI delivery across a range of business and product focused initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain impactful Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that support business performance and strategic decision making.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across product, commercial and content teams to understand requirements and translate them into clear, actionable insight.
  • Influence how data is used across the organisation, helping stakeholders better understand performance, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Deliver reporting and analytics solutions that demonstrate measurable business impact across areas such as audience growth, engagement and commercial performance.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure reporting is built on reliable, well structured datasets.
  • Apply strong understanding of data modelling, DAX and semantic layer principles to support scalable and effective reporting solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting, increase adoption of BI tools and enhance the overall decision making capability of the business.
  • Ensure strong data quality through testing, validation and clear documentation.
  • Contribute to the evolution of BI standards, tooling and best practice as the data platform matures.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience using SQL and Power BI within a business intelligence or analytics environment.
  • Good understanding of Power BI data modelling, DAX and semantic layer concepts, without necessarily being heavily focused on backend engineering.
  • Experience building reporting and dashboard solutions for business stakeholders in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision making across technical and non technical teams.
  • Ability to demonstrate the business impact of previous BI or analytics work, rather than purely technical delivery.
  • Proactive and commercially minded approach, with the confidence to challenge thinking, identify opportunities and drive improvements independently.
  • Experience working closely with analytics and data engineering teams in a modern data environment.
  • Understanding of data visualisation and UX best practice within BI is beneficial.
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor with ownership and autonomy.
