Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Firmware and Embedded design and development to sit in Chester, CT. This person will join an American corporation company that designs and manufactures audio and visual warning equipment for automotive, aviation, and mass notification industries worldwide. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating and supporting hardware and embedded firmware for new product development and sustaining engineering projects. This person needs to come from a Product Design background doing Embedded Firmware/Hardware development as well as hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Past experience needs to include working in an Agile environment, seeing a product design from intake to manufacturing stage, and designing in C language. This person will act as the Design Engineer for the allocated product project and will need experience being, hands working cross functionally creating

Requirements

schematics and proof of concept, Experience coding in C++ and CAD is a plus., 7+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer working through an entire product lifecycle doing Embedded Firmware development

-Altium Designer

-Audio Amplifier or Aviation design experience

-Proficient in firmware development with C programming language

-Experience with hardware development

-Experience creating schematics and proof of concept -Experience with coding language C++ and CAD software

-Experience in an automotive or aviation industry

-Experience with PCBs (printed circuit boards)

-Familiar with CAN, USB, Ethernet and other common communication protocols.

-Familiar with embedded Linux development.
