Job description

Huntington County Community Corrections is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to serve as our next Financial & Data Systems Analyst. This position plays a critical role in supporting the department’s financial operations, data management, reporting requirements, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

The Financial & Data Systems Analyst is responsible for managing departmental financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget preparation and monitoring, submitting payroll transmittal information, and account reconciliation. The position also oversees data collection and reporting, maintains departmental databases, prepares reports for the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC), assists with annual audits and grant administration, and analyzes trends to provide meaningful information for departmental planning and decision-making.

The successful candidate will collect, interpret, and report monthly, quarterly and annual data, ensure compliance with state reporting requirements, and assist in identifying opportunities for program improvement and additional funding. This position works closely with Community Corrections staff, county departments, the Indiana Department of Corrections, and other community partners to support the department’s mission and objectives.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in a social services field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical, organizational, financial, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain confidential information. Knowledge of the criminal justice system, court procedures, and evidence-based practices is preferred.

Hourly pay rate up to $30.08 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
