Job description
enterprise migration to Microsoft Azure. This role serves as the bridge between
application owners, development teams, and cloud engineering teams to assess
application readiness, reduce migration risk, and identify modernization opportunities.
The ideal candidate combines application architecture, development, DevOps, and cloud
expertise to help application teams successfully transition to Azure while improving
scalability, supportability, and operational efficiency.
Role Purpose
Responsible for driving application discovery, readiness, and migration planning with a, * Conduct application discovery, architecture assessments, and cloud readiness
evaluations

Analyze application, database, network, identity, and third-party dependencies
-
Develop migration and modernization strategies including rehost, replatform, and
refactor approaches
-
Partner with application owners to create migration execution and remediation plans
-
Identify and drive resolution of application migration blockers and technical risks
-
Recommend Azure PaaS and cloud-native services where appropriate
-
Align applications with Azure Landing Zone, security, and operational standards
-
Facilitate workshops with application owners, developers, and subject matter experts
-
Document application architectures, dependencies, operational requirements, and
migration recommendations
-
Support migration testing, cutover planning, and post-migration validation activities
-
Coach application teams on cloud-native architecture, DevOps practices, and
operational readiness
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, database, networking, and cloud
Requirements
-
Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, App Services, Functions, Containers)
-
Java ecosystems (Spring, Tomcat, WebLogic)
-
.NET / ASP.NET / IIS
-
CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub
-
Azure Migrate, Application Insights, Azure Monitor
-
Application dependency mapping and profiling tools
-
Enterprise infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, and identity, * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
-
8+ years of experience in application development, architecture, DevOps, or cloud
engineering
-
Strong experience with Java and/or .NET application stacks
-
Experience assessing and migrating legacy and enterprise applications
-
Experience with Azure migration and modernization initiatives
-
Strong understanding of application architecture, deployment models, and CI/CD
practices
-
Experience with application discovery, dependency mapping, and migration planning
-
Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure fundamentals
-
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
