Job description
- Interface with the Services and Solutions team to coordinate the fulfillment of orders.
- Design and implement processes that provide best in class delivery and customer service (both internal and external) on the entire SaS offering.
- Support the development of reports and controls that demonstrate the effectiveness of the group in terms of delivery and ease of doing business.
- With a high level of attention to detail, utilize the “Value Add Module” of the business system to handle all aspects of the project. Agility is important as the ERP supporting our business is just as complex as the offering we sell and support. Documentation may not exist for how to manage all transactions.
- Have a capacity to work within a fluid environment where the information at hand is constantly changing.
- Be responsible for loading vendors, ship froms, part numbers, as well as other ERP data sets for our offerings.
- Be able to review large data sets meticulously and precisely in excel and other formats to generate BOMs or quotes out of the system.
- Own the core functions of the order management team, by entering quotations and orders in the business system, and then following those orders through to delivery.
- Be responsible for commercial messaging for notifying concerned parties of late orders, expediting of orders, providing delivery status follow-up, tracking missing or delayed shipments, and handling of customer claims or complaints.
- Act as the single point of contact for suppliers and manufacturers, and therefore responsible for entering purchase orders, following up on orders, and process cancellations.
- Support the evolving needs of our products and services by attending training.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality standards and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a business-related field.
- Two or more years of product, sales, technical and/or customer service experience within the electrical distribution industry. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of meeting the degree requirement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools, especially Excel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees.
