Job description
As a Technical Support Specialist (SpotWeld), you will play an important role in supporting the companyâs SpotWeld inspection products. During your initial training, youâll assist with product preparation, shipping, testing, and customer coordination while learning the companyâs technology. As your product knowledge grows, youâll transition into providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, training customers, and traveling to customer sites to support successful product implementation., * Prepare, assemble, inspect, pack, and ship SpotWeld equipment and technical kits for customers.
- Perform basic product testing, verification, and quality checks before shipment.
- Coordinate shipping logistics and maintain accurate inventory and documentation.
- Maintain customer information, project updates, and activity within Monday.com and internal databases.
- Schedule customer demonstrations, training sessions, and technical meetings.
- Support the sales and technical teams with documentation, order coordination, and customer communication.
- Learn SpotWeld inspection products, software, and applications.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues while providing technical support to customers.
- Assist with virtual and on-site product demonstrations.
- Deliver customer training on SpotWeld equipment and software after completing product training.
- Travel to customer locations to assist with product implementation, training, and technical support.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge to become a trusted product expert.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools, equipment, or machinery.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in both warehouse/shop and office environments.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using CRM or database systems (Monday.com experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driverâs license and willingness to travel.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn new technical products quickly., * Experience providing technical support or troubleshooting industrial products.
- Manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, quality inspection, or mechanical technician experience.
- Experience delivering customer training or product demonstrations.
- Familiarity with inspection equipment, welding technologies, or non-destructive testing (NDT) is a plus.
