Senior Oracle DBA (OCI) - Contract - Onsite - Richmond, VA

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and support enterprise Oracle environments running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle Database administration, WebLogic, Oracle APEX, ORDS, automation, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability solutions., * Administer Oracle databases and OCI environments

• Manage Oracle WebLogic, APEX, and ORDS platforms
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and maintenance
• Implement backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor and optimize database performance
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and Ansible
• Support production environments, including after-hours maintenance and on-call rotation

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite in Richmond, VA. Candidates must be willing to participate in after-hours, weekend maintenance, and an on-call support rotation.

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
• Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Oracle Database 19c (upgrade experience to 26ai preferred)
• Oracle APEX Administration (18+)
• Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
• Oracle WebLogic Server / Fusion Middleware
• RMAN backup and recovery
• Oracle Data Guard
• CDB/PDB administration and PDB cloning
• Database performance tuning and optimization
• Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Database patching using Fleet Management Tool
• GitLab and Ansible automation

Preferred Skills

• Docker and Kubernetes
• Python or JavaScript scripting
• Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Oracle certifications (OCP, OCIP, OCE)
• Experience with AWS or Azure

$60 - $70 an hour - Contract
