Full-Stack Software Engineer (Backend-Focused) AG-01

This is a backend-heavy Full-Stack Engineering role focused on building scalable infrastructure powering a modern data platform. Roughly 80-90% of the work is backend, solving difficult API, integration, distributed systems, and real-time synchronization challenges.

Engineers own products end-to-end in a flat engineering organization, working directly with customers and shipping production code daily.

What You’ll Own

• Build and maintain APIs connecting legacy ERP systems
• Develop backend infrastructure supporting financial automation products
• Solve complex real-time synchronization challenges across SQL, DLL, and API-based systems
• Design scalable testing frameworks across 1,000+ API endpoints
• Build reliable APIs with SLA enforcement
• Work directly with customers to ship production features quickly
• Own features from architecture through production deployment

• 1-5 years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience
• Computer Science degree or equivalent engineering background
• AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure experience
• Strong ownership and execution mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup
• Willing to work primarily in-person in San Francisco (remote considered only for exceptional candidates)

• Startup or founding engineering experience (Pre-Seed through Series C)
• Top Computer Science program (University of Waterloo especially valued)
