Job description

We are immediately hiring experienced Cable Technicians for a large-scale new construction campus project in Atlanta, GA. This is a focused testing role - if you are a detail-oriented tech who takes pride in clean, accurate test results and thorough documentation, this is the role for you. Technicians will be responsible for copper and fiber cable testing using Fluke test equipment, documenting results, and submitting them to the project team. This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile commercial campus project. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Testing copper (Cat6) and fiber (single mode and multimode) cable infrastructure using Fluke test equipment
  • Testing MPO and LC fiber connections
  • Performing term-to-term testing - testing ends and confirming clean results
  • Logging and documenting all test results accurately and consistently
  • Submitting test results to the PM for download and review by the project’s velocity team
  • Basic troubleshooting of failed tests
  • Adhering to full PPE requirements on an active new construction site at all times

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Fluke test equipment - DSX, Versiv, or similar
  • Experience testing Cat6 copper cable
  • Experience testing single mode and multimode fiber - MPO and LC connectors
  • Ability to accurately log, document, and submit test results
  • OSHA 10 certification (required - must have prior to start - can be provided by company if needed)
  • Must pass a 10-panel drug screen
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and documentation
  • Ability to work full-time on an active new construction site with full PPE requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience on large-scale commercial or data center construction projects
  • Familiarity with Fluke LinkWare or similar test management software
  • Experience working with a velocity or QC review team

What You Don’t Need

  • This is not a pulling or installation-heavy role - minimal physical installation involved
  • You do not need to bring specialty tools - Fluke test equipment will be provided

All candidates must have OSHA 10 certification and pass a 10-panel drug screen prior to placement. Equal opportunity employer.
