Job description

As a PCG Software Engineer you will develop applications on various partner platforms which exploit AI and low-code technologies to deliver business value to our customers. You will be relied upon to design and implement industry leading cloud-based solutions that are part of PCG’s Smart Factory vision as well as its growing built-to-purpose custom development offerings. Our Software Engineers are constantly solving complex development problems and always ensuring we deliver the highest quality solutions. We are looking for developers who love a challenge, want to learn the latest technologies, and are looking to make an impact on a rapidly growing organization. The position holder will participate in design and architecture efforts while being principally responsible for bringing those visions to life via advanced app development platforms associated with our partners. Solutions may range from stand-alone offerings to full ERP integrations but always with a cloud-based orientation.

At PCG You Will:

Build, and develop optimized data architectures, applications, and integrations that deliver key components of PCG’s product and built-to-purpose offerings. Our developers also perform team based technical design and peer code reviews to ensure design objectives are met and best practice standards are adhered to.

As a member of the product development team, you will have wide interaction within PCG as well as our customer and partner network. Members are expected to possess and maintain excellent communication skills, possess and embrace a collaborative and team-oriented mindset, possess effective logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, accept direction from solution architect, meet project related deliverable deadlines, adhere to company policies and procedures, create and edit accurate and complete documentation, adhere to best practice standards within our delivery methodology, adapt to changing priorities, and continually refine their technical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience with a focus on IT, Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related degree program.
  • 3+ years software design and development experience
  • Must have experience with TULIP Interfaces
  • 1+ years of experience with development on cloud-based framework (e.g. Google)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies including:
  • TypeScript / JavaScript
  • React and Node.js
  • REST APIs
  • SQL / NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of the following concepts: relational data models, object-oriented programming concepts, event-driven programming concepts, source control, code repository and version control concepts, coding standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • General knowledge of business systems and processes.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed goals and objectives.

Preferred Skills:

  • General understanding/experience with manufacturing processes and nomenclature.
  • General understanding/experience with ERP business systems and concepts.
  • Formal training/certification on no/low-code or AI-based development frameworks.
  • Agile software development methodology experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
