Job description
Description: (All candidates will be evaluated on the strength of their resume to accomplish the following tasks)
Apply computer science principles, data architecture expertise, and intelligence tradecraft to manage and analyze large-scale datasets in support of mission operations.
Develop and automate analytical solutions using Python and other languages to enhance data processing and intelligence analysis using common Integrated Development Environments such as Spyder, Jupyter Notebooks, or similar tools.
Design, develop, test, and maintain Python scripts and other analytical tools within virtual environments using industry-standard integrated development environments (IDEs) such as VS Code, Spyder, PyScript, and Jupyter Notebooks.
Design and develop advanced software solutions, algorithms, and data models that solve complex intelligence challenges while automating data integration, normalization, and analysis.
Debug, optimize, and modernize Python applications by refactoring legacy code to improve security, maintainability, functionality, and long-term compatibility.
Produce clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices (e.g., PEP 8) while leveraging modern development environments such as VS Code, Spyder, PyScript, and Jupyter Notebooks.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to connect diverse data sources with complex business and intelligence challenges.
Identify meaningful insights, interpret and communicate analytical findings, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Analyze mission requirements and evaluate data science technologies, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing.
Stay current with emerging analytics techniques, data science methodologies, and big-data technologies.
Complete the required NSA NETA1400 (Technology Fundamentals for Analysis) course. Completion of additional NSA courses-including NETA2402/NETA2108 (Analysis II), RPTG2238, RPTG2235, RPTG3225, and RPTG3222 (Basic Analytical Reporting)-or equivalent training is highly desired.
Pursue or maintain industry-recognized certifications such as DASCA Associate Big Data Engineer (ABDE), Associate Big Data Analyst (ABDA), Senior Data Scientist (SDS), the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, or the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience + training
- Advanced knowledge of Python and other relevant languages
- Relevant STEM degree and/or cyber certifications
Education Requirement: Associate’s degree or higher in a cyber or relevant STEM discipline.
