Job description

  • Serve as a strategic Data & AI partner to R&D and Medical leadership, translating business challenges into high-value data products and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Develop and manage strategic Data & AI roadmaps, product portfolios, and delivery pipelines.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact use cases based on business value, strategic importance, technical feasibility, and organizational readiness.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of Data & AI initiatives-from discovery and requirements definition through solution design, MVP development, scaling, adoption, and operational handoff.
  • Act as Product Manager and Delivery Lead for strategic Data & AI initiatives, defining product vision, roadmaps, priorities, KPIs, and measures of value realization.
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams involving R&D, Medical, Data Science, AI/ML, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Architecture, UX/UI, and external delivery partners.
  • Partner with technical teams to assess data feasibility, architecture, platform capabilities, security, compliance, and delivery approach.
  • Ensure delivery is completed on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on quality and measurable business value.
  • Drive adoption of new Data and AI products through stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and structured change management.
  • Maintain executive-level communication regarding progress, risks, strategic opportunities, challenges, and business outcomes.
  • Support data quality, consistency, integrity, governance, and responsible use of R&D and Medical data.
  • Participate in steering committees and governance forums for strategic Data & AI initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience leading complex Data, Analytics, AI, or digital product initiatives.
  • Strong experience with R&D and/or Medical data transformation within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated success in Data & AI product management, program delivery, project management, and portfolio management.
  • Experience translating scientific, clinical, medical, or business needs into scalable technology and data solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile product development and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving both business and highly technical teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business, scientific, and technology leaders.
  • Experience developing and executing change management strategies that drive technology adoption.

Technical Knowledge

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge across several of the following areas:

Data & AI: Data analytics, data management, AI, machine learning, and data product development.

Technology: Cloud platforms including AWS and Azure, software engineering concepts, technical architecture, and solution design.

Development & Analytics: Familiarity with SQL, Python, modern data platforms, and the AI/ML development lifecycle.

Product Delivery: Agile methodologies, product roadmaps, KPI development, user-centered design, prioritization, experimentation, and technical debt management.

Collaboration: Experience working with tools and platforms such as JIRA and Confluence.
