Computer Operator / Bookkeeper - Full Time Position

• The Computer Operator / Bookkeeper is responsible for general “back-room” banking support including but not limited to imaging and transmitting electronic debits and credits, recordkeeping, onboarding new loans and deposit accounts, drive-up window operation, and customer service support., * Support banking operations through knowledge of the processes and procedures for transmission of ACH files, stop payments, holds, cash letters, and check returns
• Accurately complete tasks while handling frequent employee and customer contacts and interruptions during the day
• Educate customers on options for managing financial transactions by leveraging digital solutions, tools and resources
• Record and post daily financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and other account activities, to the general ledger
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and file financial documents
• Understand and perform debit card procedures and processes
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Collaborate with internal audit teams and external accountants during financial audits
• Handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
• Comply with banking guidelines and regulations and participate in required training
• Other duties as assigned

• Banking experience preferred
• Ability to work every other Saturday
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minor in Accounting preferred
• Ability to accurately calculate and post banking transactions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as able to master additional computer programs
• Keyboarding skills
• The position requires high-level customer service and support to all Bank staff including front line, back office, loan servicing and administration
• Ability to work independently yet collaborate when necessary
• Physically be able to move about freely and handle objects (manual dexterity)
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to professionally communicate via phone, in-person, and through electronic channels, * High school or equivalent (Preferred), * Cash handling: 1 year (Preferred)
• Banking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
