Senior Accountant - IT Hardware Distributor

We’re a multi-channel IT hardware reseller headquartered in Lake Mary, hiring one senior accountant to run core accounting operations end-to-end. This isn’t a support seat - you own the month-end close, manage a staff team member, and deliver the numbers ownership uses to run the business. No layers between you and decision-makers.

What you’ll own

• Full month-end close: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, checklist execution
• Managing and developing a staff accounting team member
• Bank and marketplace settlement reconciliations across all sales channels (transaction-level bookkeeping is already handled - you own accuracy, not data entry)
• Inventory accounting: COGS accuracy, landed cost, and reconciliation between marketplace reporting and the books
• Sales tax compliance and multi-state nexus monitoring for non-marketplace channels
• AR/AP oversight and weekly reporting; outbound payments within approval controls
• P&L accuracy and channel-level margin reporting delivered directly to ownership
• Tax season support alongside our outside CPA

• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
• 4+ years of accounting experience; e-commerce, distribution, or inventory-based businesses strongly preferred
• Proven ownership of a full month-end close - you’ve run one, not assisted one
• Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior staff a plus
• QuickBooks (or similar) fluency; comfortable with high transaction volume
• Sales tax or corporate tax exposure a plus
