Requirements

  • Language: Core Java. While the job description says Java 8+, the codebase is modernizing-most of the application is on Java 21.
  • Testing & Code Quality: Requires a heavy, proven background in JUnit and SonarQube. Candidates must have a strong Java development background to read, understand, and effectively test complex code.
  • AI Tooling: The team primarily utilizes GitHub Copilot (no custom/proprietary AI testing suite right now). Experience using Copilot to automate and speed up unit testing is a major plus., * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of Java software development experience.
  • A strong understanding of the Java language and Java 8+ standard library.
  • Strong knowledge of automated Java test frameworks.
  • Strong Java unit and integration testing skills for code coverage and correctness (JUnit / Mockito / SpringBoot Test / MockMvc / SonarQube).
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL.
  • Ability to understand and write code documentation that conveys your solution to others., * AI-Assisted Automatic Testing suite development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
