Software Engineer

• A front-end UI focus, but with opportunities to work on the full stack and across a wide range of technologies
• Work closely with analysts, operators, and team members to create and maintain UI tools that help address important mission issues
• Design and develop visually pleasing, content-rich, user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation
• Immerse yourself in modern best practices, continuous integration and deployment, and iterative development
• Develop frontend UIs to display user data in intuitive ways
• Focus on technical solutions that deliver immediate operational impact
• Collaborate across multiple product teams to design and implement mission-critical systems

As a software engineer, you ask yourself, “What’s the best way to make this work?” Stack Overflow, API Documentation, and Google are some of your BFFs, and thoughts of introducing bugs gives you nightmares. You are a fantastic teammate and an even better employee. Keyboard shortcuts are second nature. Your sense of big picture views and small detail focus are enviable. You see impossible requests as a challenge, not as a wall. You’re bright, passionate, and driven. You can work well with others and work efficiently when accomplishing independent tasks., * You have 3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (4 additional years of experience may be substituted)

• Java Script/Typescript and HTML/CSS experience
• Experience developing with UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc)
• Familiarity with Relational Databases (Postgres, SQLite, MySQL etc.)
• Knowledge of basic Docker Containerization
• Experience using Git for version control
• Familiarity with Linux Commandline

The Nice to Haves:

• Prior CNO experience
• Experience with Non Relational Databases (Elasticsearch, Mongodb)
• Other programing language knowledge (Java, Python, Bash, Powershell)
• Other frontend or backend frameworks (Vue, FastApi, Spring Boot etc.)
• Data science and machine learning experience
• Experience with DevOps (GitlabCI, CI/CD, k8s, ansible)
• Any AWS or other cloud provider certification

Salary range provided during the selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on individual factors that may include years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
