The Role

We are looking for a Rust developer who wants to actively contribute to the technical evolution of RTK and RTK Pro within RTK AI Labs.

Beyond development, we are looking for someone who can propose ideas, challenge assumptions, and participate in the decisions that shape the future of our products.

This is still an emerging field with many open problems and significant opportunities for innovation and improvement.

As a startup, our small team enables rapid iteration and a high degree of flexibility.

What You’ll Work On

You may contribute to:

• Designing new context and token reduction strategies
• Performance and memory consumption optimization
• Integrating with AI agents and orchestration tools
• Improving project architecture and contributor experience
• Collaborating with the Open Source community
• Building user interfaces for observability and team management

Ideally, you have experience or a strong interest in:

• Rust development (or another low-level language such as C or Zig)
• Fullstack environments (comfortable with CI/CD, APIs, cloud technologies, frontend concepts, and best practices)
• AI-assisted development, the use of generative models for software development, and exploring new AI tools
• Performance, optimization, or compression challenges
• Open Source software
• Linux/macOS shell environments
