• Analyse existing and competitors website and app architecture to identify areas for improvement and transformation
• Develop, test, and deploy new features using front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Ruby on Rails or.NET
• Implement back-end functionalities with languages including Java, C#, Python, C++, or VBA, ensuring robust performance and security
• Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom APIs to enhance platform capabilities
• Manage version control using tools such as GitHub, SVN, or Git, maintaining code integrity throughout development cycles
• Utilise cloud services like AWS or Azure for deployment, scalability, and maintenance of applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive application development aligned with organisational goals
• Conduct code reviews, optimise database interactions with SQL or MySQL, and troubleshoot technical issues promptly
• Document development processes and provide ongoing support for application updates and enhancements

• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks and responsive design principles
• Experience working with version control systems such as GitHub, SVN or Git
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure for deployment and infrastructure management
• Strong understanding of application development lifecycle from conception through deployment and maintenance
• Ability to work effectively within Linux environments and utilise command-line tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering are desirable but not essential
