Job description

As a Playwright Automation Test Engineer , you will make an impact by developing scalable automation solutions, driving quality engineering best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications across enterprise platforms. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with developers, product owners, DevOps teams, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and modern automation technologies.

  • Create and execute automated test suites for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to define test strategies, develop test cases, and ensure comprehensive quality coverage.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and DevOps best practices.
  • Perform backend validation using SQL, analyze defects and quality metrics, and support release validation activities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience, including at least 2+ years of Playwright experience.
  • Strong experience in API testing and automation using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, validate data integrity, perform backend testing, and analyze results.
  • Experience working in Agile environments utilizing BDD, Cucumber, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and continuous testing principles.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale automation frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global onsite-offshore delivery model and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Insurance domain experience.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and implementing emerging automation tools and technologies.
  • Experience with test reporting, quality metrics, defect triage, and release validation processes.
