Job description
ERS (Equipment Reliability Solutions) is seeking a meticulous and reliable Data and Quality Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and organization of critical data for our operations. You will be responsible for data entry, reporting, special projects, and other administrative tasks, while supporting quality control efforts. This is a remote position with flexible hours, but active engagement and commitment are essential. General Austin, TX Metro area, or Texas is preferred but not required., * Transfer data from electronic (technical) documents into an online database system.
- Create and maintain accurate spreadsheets, including activities such as data formatting, deduplication, and analysis.
- Verify data accuracy by comparing entries with source documents.
- Generate reports from data and ensure all outputs are accurate and complete.
- Perform quality checks on your work and that of others to uphold data integrity.
- Retrieve data or electronic files as requested, ensuring timely delivery.
- Move and manipulate files effectively within Windows and online environments.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with data standards.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
Requirements
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and commitment to quality control.
- Adaptability: Ability to switch between tasks without compromising precision or speed.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, deduplication, and data formatting.
- Proficiency with databases and data management tools.
- Experience and interest in workflow automation tools (preferred).
- Reporting and Analysis: Familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized filing systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for collaborating with team members and addressing data discrepancies.
- Problem-Solving and Initiative: Proactive approach to identifying trends, inefficiencies, or anomalies in workflows and reporting, with the ability to independently suggest and implement solutions.
- Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills to meet deadlines, especially when handling large data sets or urgent tasks.
- Work Ethic: A strong sense of responsibility, with a focus on customer, team, and company success.
- Customer and Partner Communication - Ability to professionally communicate concepts, request information, and deliverables to customers and/or other partners via email, phone calls, and/or remote meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree is desirable but not required; experience and capability are prioritized.
- Experience: Previous experience in data entry, analysis, reporting, and/or administrative roles., * Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Preferred)
