Job description

  • Nearly full-time telework, but must be within a commutable distance to the Ft. Meade area for Agile events, etc.
  • Develop software and scripts utilizing languages such as Python, Bash, C, C++, Java, and Perl.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks with tools like Selenium.
  • Support software deployment activities on AWS cloud platforms.
  • Operate across Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Apply knowledge of Network Protocols.
  • Utilize Git for version control.
  • Track and manage software defects using industry-standard lifecycle tools like JIRA.
  • Conduct software testing within Agile/Scrum, Continuous Integration, and DevOps environments.

Requirements

  • Degree: Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Years of experience: 8+ years demonstrated relevant software testing experience using Python is required
  • Total Compensation: $191k+ yearly

Must have:

  • Eight (8) years of experience with identifying, documenting and tracking software defects through resolution, using industry standard lifecycle tools such as Atlassian Suite (Jira), Rational Suite, Bugzilla or similar tools
  • Four (4) years of experience years testing software following Agile lifecycle processes and practices, using Agile tools such as Atlassian Suite and GitHub
  • Two (2) years experience testing using CI/CD processes and tools
  • Two (2) years of experience developing software or scripts in Python, Bash or similar languages, and developing test automation frameworks.
  • Two (2) years of experience with estimating resources, level of effort, and timelines for testing tasks using Agile story point construct or similar methods, providing input on dependencies and risks for testing
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools: Selenium, PyTest, Puppeteer, Sphinx

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience developing or testing software being developed/deployed on AWS cloud
  • AWS certification at Associate level or higher
  • Experience developing automated software documentation using Markdown and reStructuredText
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or experience working with OSI Model, TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and other basic network concepts.
