Job description
As a Senior Internal IT Engineer at Publitas, youâll build and scale the internal technology foundation that enables our distributed teams to work securely, efficiently, and without friction. Youâll combine hands-on technical expertise with operational ownership and process thinking to improve the reliability and maturity of our internal IT environment.
You will:
- Own and continuously improve our internal IT landscape, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable day-to-day operations across endpoints, SaaS tooling, identity, and access management.
- Drive operational maturity by creating structure, improving workflows, and reducing manual or reactive support work across the organization.
- Lead and coordinate internal IT projects, from onboarding automation and device management to security improvements and tooling rollouts.
- Act as a trusted technical partner for employees and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, prioritization, and follow-through across distributed teams.
- Improve our security posture by strengthening access controls, endpoint management, compliance processes, and operational best practices.
- Manage and optimize our SaaS ecosystem, balancing usability, security, cost-efficiency, and maintainability.
- Create scalable internal processes and documentation that enable autonomy, consistency, and operational resilience as the company grows.
- Contribute to company-wide operational readiness initiatives, including audits, compliance efforts, and business continuity improvements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, Do you have a Bachelorâs degree?, * Prefer âbusiness as usualâ over change
- Want a team where mediocre is okay
- Have never worked remotely and think async means âlonelyâ
- Are waiting for permission instead of taking initiative, * 5+ years of experience in Internal IT, IT Operations, or Systems Administration within modern SaaS environments.
- Strong experience with identity and access management, endpoint management, SaaS administration, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience managing distributed or remote-first environments.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills - you can independently drive initiatives from planning to execution.
- A process-oriented mindset focused on scalability, automation, and operational clarity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- The ability to balance hands-on execution with longer-term operational improvements.
