Job description

Amistad Labs Inc. is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to support a mission-critical federal program in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced Agile and DevOps environment developing enterprise applications using Java technologies.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications.

Design and implement scalable solutions using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and program increment planning.

Analyze system requirements and develop software solutions.

Develop reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.

Support CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Troubleshoot software defects and production issues.

Collaborate with developers, testers, and systems engineers.

Requirements

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required (Candidates with CI Poly must be willing to obtain a Full Scope Polygraph), Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of software development experience.

Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.

Experience with one or more of the following:

Python

C/C++

SQL

SOAP

WSDL

Oracle

PostgreSQL

Jenkins

Windows and Linux environments

Experience with HTML, XML, XHTML, and XSLT.

Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss.

Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Mockito, or FITNesse.

Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, DevOps, BDD, and TDD.

Experience with secure software development and continuous integration.
