Job description

  • Develop ETL workflows using Informatica for periodic data loads from source to target databases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows using Informatica and cloud-native tools.
  • Working closely with clients to assist in managing data needs and supporting collection of data needed for various operational needs.
  • Develop and optimize data integration solutions across multiple data sources.
  • Responsible for source code control using GitLab.
  • Demonstrate a strong practical understanding of application-relevant cargo and passenger data and databases used to support analytic application development, functionality and targeting end user (officer) operation.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED and 20+ years or AS/AA and 18+ years or BS/BA and 12+ years or MS/MA/MBA and 9+ years or PhD/Doctorate and 7+ years
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the architecture, design and development of ETL programs using Informatica data integration tools; and at least 5 years’ experience in large (80TB+) and complex data warehousing architecture, design and implementation/migration.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks.
  • Proven hands-on experience with ETL Migration Initiatives, especially moving Informatica workflows to open-source or cloud-native integration frameworks; strong understanding of ETL architecture, data integration patterns and relational data concepts.
  • Experience with one or more relational database systems such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, SQL server, etc. and experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Development tools (CI/CD).
  • Must work well in a team environment as well as independently. Excellent verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels., * Current/active secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter version 9 and above.
  • Experience integrating Databricks with Git-based workflows in controlled network environments.
  • Solid background in Oracle database 23ai / 26ai preferably in Exadata environment with a focus on manipulating large volume data set.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain DHS CBP Suitability prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
