Job description

  • Develop and configure robust, secure, and flexible infrastructure solutions for U.S. Navy surface ships, ensuring mission-critical system reliability
  • Collaborate with agile teams to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in lab and operational environments, including interpreting engineering drawings and wiring schematics
  • Create detailed documentation supporting rigorous engineering processes, including system requirements, design, and test procedures
  • Lead efforts in requirements management, system modeling, and integration of hardware components using industry-standard tools
  • Apply systems engineering principles to develop and troubleshoot complex surface ship infrastructure, including rack layouts and wiring schematics
  • Incorporate AI and automation techniques to enhance system performance and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, * Expertise in systems engineering standards, requirements management, and system modeling tools such as Siemens Capital Logic Designer

  • Strong understanding of hardware troubleshooting, wiring schematics, and rack layout design for military-grade computing systems
  • Experience with Navy surface ship infrastructure, including hardware integration and lab testing environments
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles relevant to defense hardware systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions, including the application of AI for system optimization
  • Knowledge of military hardware standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements
