Job description
- The Business Solution Architect will be accountable to bridge the business strategy and technology, leading the Wolfspeed team to an IT infrastructure that supports organization goals. The BSA will work closely with stakeholders across business and IT teams to help streamline business processes, recommend scalable solutions and ensure seamless integration of applications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen in order to translate business requirements into effective system architectures. This position requires strong experience with master data, SAP S/4 and IBP, Salesforce and integrations supporting the enterprise applications environment.
The Day-to-Day:
- Facilitate business process re-engineering for Wolfspeed programs
- Interpret business capability requirements into a solution design, including technical solution, data models and system architecture.
- Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership, business partners and IT
- Collaborate with business leaders, developers, analysts and vendors to implement solutions that can scale globally, maximizing value and minimizing duplication of solutions
- Work with Wolfspeedâs solution architects on long-term technology roadmaps to align business capability needs to technical strategies
- Collaborate with business lean/kaizen events
- Act as the liaison to corporate initiatives and projects
- Gain understanding of company products, functions, marketing, and/or service policies and procedures
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance is maintained for all supported systems.
- Lead or contribute to system implementation and change management efforts
- Conduct research to identify new product features and best practices. Lead discussions to assess applicability to Wolfspeed business scenario
- Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members
Requirements
- 7 years of overall IT experience and a record of success supporting a fast-paced business organization, providing technical expertise, while applying best practices and leveraging core SAP platform capabilities.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with SAP as an enterprise resource planning software, specifically PP, EWM, PTP, OTC, MDG and RTR modules. Knowledge of IBP is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full cycle program implementation
- Strong understanding of system integrations, database structures and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time
- Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective
- Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with both IT and business individuals
- Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a âcan-doâ attitude - adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal, written & presentation communications skills, experience in executive-level presentation of technical solutions, technical trade-offs and project framework to non-technical audience
- Willingness to travel, including internationally as necessary
- Self-motivated with strong drive to achieve business objectives
- Ability to blend the technical and commercial to deliver a balanced approach to problems
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Semiconductor or High-Tech industry background is a plus
- Flexible in collaboration with virtual global teams outside of office hours.
