Job description

Abitocorp is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position based at our office in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for technical assistance, providing crucial support to our employees and ensuring the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This role is essential for maintaining our day-to-day operational success., * Provide first and second-line technical support to on-site and remote employees, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and company-approved software.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and other key systems.
  • Document all support activities, solutions, and procedures within our IT service management system.
  • Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and equipment procurement.
  • Contribute to the development of IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and user training guides.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate senior IT personnel or third-party vendors.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • The ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.

Desirable:

  • Industry-standard certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • A solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL.
  • Experience supporting Apple macOS devices in a corporate environment.
