Job description
As an IT Oracle Database Administrator within IT Agile Production Services (Linux/Unix Databases Infrastructure), you will contribute to maintaining and optimizing our Oracle and PostgreSQL environments. Based in Brussels (near Central Station), your focus will be on database migration to cloud, performance tuning, and ensuring data integrity and high availability.

- Lead the migration of databases from legacy to cloud, shaping the future of our IT landscape.
- Optimize Oracle database performance, fine-tuning systems to deliver speed, reliability, and excellence.
- Guarantee data integrity and high availability, keeping our critical systems up and running without compromise.
- Maintain and enhance multiple Oracle databases, aligning them with cutting-edge cloud architecture and standards.
- Develop scripts and documentation, creating clear, efficient procedures that empower the team.
- Support developers with expert guidance, helping them overcome challenges and deliver top-tier solutions.
- Manage internal security in Oracle databases, ensuring robust protection and compliance at all times.
Requirements
- Proven expertise: 5+ years in Linux/Unix environments, with deep experience in Oracle 19c, Exadata, and performance tuning.
- Cloud & tools mastery: Strong skills in IaaS cloud architectures, plus familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Dataguard, or Quest TOAD (a bonus!).
- Technical prowess: Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), PL/SQL, and Linux/AIX server administration.
- Business insight: Thrives in complex organizations, with bonus points for banking sector experience.
- Language skills: Fluent or good English (mandatory), with French or Dutch fluency as a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
