Job description

We’re recruiting for a Java Developer who will be focused on building reliable and maintainable software. you will use your engineering knowledge to contribute to team delivery, solving problems at feature level and supporting business goals.

The main technical skill of this role is Java, though over time you may be required to work in either of Perl or C# too.

To be successful in this role, you will focus on delivering high-quality code within the team, while developing your technical expertise and aligning with engineering best practices.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and maintain software components based on defined requirements.
  • Contribute to system design discussions and implement solutions aligned with established architecture.
  • Responsible for L3 production support, ensuring timely resolution of defects in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Follow coding standards, guidelines, and best practices defined by the team.
  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Identify potential issues and escalate risks when necessary.
  • Support deployment and integration activities in collaboration with other teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in supported areas of the system.

Requirements

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in developing software applications in Java
  • Understanding of backend systems, APIs, and data handling
  • Experience working on web-based applications
  • Ability to deliver tasks independently with guidance when needed
  • Experience working within a development team
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage assigned work within deadlines
